So I’m rewriting my airfoil generator in Python; well the GUI was Python with GTK+ and the airfoil stuff was C++. The airfoil stuff is now in Python and I’m working on creating the GUI in Tkinter, which is a built in library within Python. Now I’ll have a program that works on multiple platforms without the need to install extra stuff, assuming I can get it to draw the airfoil – which it isn’t. I do plan on putting a viscous flow solver into the code to do more than just generate airfoils. I’m also trying to figure out hosts for the source, once the code works. I’m either thinking host my own SVN site or use Google Code.
Erica has her service sorority over for a social thing and Bailey and I are chilling downstairs on the couch. Bailey is really bored since she can’t socialize with the people upstairs.
Lot’s of stuff has been going on. Trimed some more of the hedges yesterday in preparation for trash pick up today. Will probably do more Sunday, along with mow the yard, after Justin leaves. He’s coming into town this weekend to hang out. Loads of video games and flight simulators will be played.
In baby news, we’re having a girl. Can’t remember if I mentioned that here before. Having a kid is still pretty exciting stuff.
I lost track of what I was going to write because that last sentence took quite a while to type.
Ooh, figured it out.
I created an epic European metal station on Pandora for when I need triumphant music when I accomplish something. It’s great stuff. I also created a nu-metal station to relive high school music days; still don’t know why I’d want to do that, but I am.
Saturday is the ISU/Iowa football game where ISU will lose because we suck.
Time for a snack then off to bed.
